Dr. Settel grew up in Ellijay and married his high school sweetheart, Amanda. He attended the University of Georgia receiving a BS in biology and microbiology. Dr. Settel then attended the Medical College of Georgia for his DMD and completed a residency in General Practice with a focus on implants, surgery, and sedation.

Dr. Settel is a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry, a Fellow in the International College of Dentists, passed the fellowship exam for the International College of Oral Implantology, is a member of the Hinman Dental Society, a member of the American Dental Association, and a member of the Georgia Dental Association.

Dr. Settel enjoys Georgia Bulldog athletics and the Atlanta Braves. He loves spending time outdoors and hunting with his father and son. One of his favorite activities is family movie night.
